ROOR® is known for strict quality control across both function and appearance. Pieces that do not meet ROOR visual standards are offered through the Ninety Nine line. Ninety Nine is reserved for glass that performs as intended but carries a small cosmetic detail that prevents it from being classified as visually pleasing. ROOR does not strive for perfection but for Greatness. 

01 — Function stays first. The piece must retain the construction, angles, joints, and functional standards expected from authentic ROOR® glass. 

02 — The detail is cosmetic. A light scratch, morphed glass, logo blemish, or uneven sandblasted area may affect appearance without affecting performance. 

03 — The price reflects it. Because the piece is not considered visually perfect, its price is reduced according to the disclosed cosmetic condition. 

Marked and disclosed — Know exactly what Ninety Nine means. 

Every Ninety Nine piece is identified as part of the line, and its cosmetic imperfection is disclosed so collectors can make an informed choice before purchasing. 

What you may see 

  • A light surface scratch 

  • A logo or decal blemish 

  • Uneven sandblasting 

  • A minor cosmetic variation 

What you will not see 

  • Cracks or structural damage 

  • Compromised joints or angles 

  • Lower-grade glass 

  • Known functional defects 

 

The imperfection is visual, the condition is disclosed, and the function remains the priority. 

Is a different quality of glass used? No lower-grade glass is used for the Ninety Nine line. The distinction comes from a visible cosmetic detail flaw from the manufacturing process. 

ROOR® Ninety-Nines are fully functional pieces with blemishes or cosmetic imperfections that did not meet ROOR’s highest visual standards. Because each piece is clearly marked and discounted for that reason, all Ninety-Nine collection purchases are final sale subject to return policy.

The Classic ROOR® ashcatcher stands about 4 ½” tall with a 45mm x 5mm or 50mm x 5mm German Duran Schott Glass body and a 14.5mm bistable male joint to 14.5mm female bistable joint.
